Detoxification supplement for men and women's fertility

detoxification supplement to aid fertility

Using a good detoxification supplement can improve health and fertility!

The human body has its own detoxification systems to eliminate natural toxins on a daily basis. Unfortunately modern society has us living in a very unnatural world! We've become surrounded by harmful substances such as synthetic chemicals and heavy metals.

Toxins enter the body through our digestive tract, respiratory system, and are even absorbed through our skin. So it comes as no surprise to find that our bodies now struggle to remove these poisons! As a result many toxins end up in our body fat (adipose tissue) where they're stored due to their high fat-solubility. The immune system is constantly struggling to fight off these invaders. When our immunity becomes overwhelmed we become prone to sickness and disease.

Fertility is highly vulnerable to toxins. Besides contributing towards general poor health there's another major reason why toxins can impair fertility. There are chemicals that mimic our hormones, therefore disrupting the overall reproductive functions for both sexes! These chemicals are known as xenoestrogens, hormone disruptors, or endocrine disruptors.

One of the best things we can do for the body is a detox! People report feeling cleansed afterwards, physically and mentally with heaps more energy!

Fairhaven Health have produced doctor designed FertileDetox. An effective detoxification supplement which is suitable for both partners to take during preconception. This product promotes reproductive health and fertility as it assists the body to neutralize and remove environmental toxins! More about this product below but firstly...

How are we exposed to
chemicals and toxins?

It's not only people who work in specific industries who are at risk. Toxin exposure comes from normal everyday living factors such as -

  • Pesticides on food crops
  • Preservatives and additives in processed foods
  • Toxins are present in animal produce – passed on from pollution, stock feed, growth hormones, antibiotics, and other veterinary medicine residue
  • Mercury contained in certain fish species that we eat
  • Contaminated tap water - toxic soil run off, old pipes, and deliberately added chemicals (e.g. chlorine)
  • Chemicals can leach out of plastic food packaging – including the plastic lining inside of canned foods, and plastic water bottles
  • Non stick cookware can release toxic fumes
  • Alcohol, smoking, overuse of medications
  • Amalgam dental fillings
  • Toiletries, cosmetics, perfumes etc, can contain chemicals and even heavy metals
  • Household cleaning supplies, detergents, air fresheners, fly spray, fabric softener, dry-cleaning etc
  • Some house paints, furnishings, fabrics, carpets, vinyl flooring, varnishes, and glues
  • Weed killer sprayed around the garden
  • Car exhaust fumes
  • Second hand cigarette smoke
  • Numerous environmental pollutions

Eating organic food helps, plus there are safer, non toxic product alternatives available in the marketplace. We can take other precautions, however most of us are affected in one way or another as we can't fully escape all of these influences.

Health and fertility problems
associated with toxins include -

  • Fatigue
  • Lowered immunity with repeated infections
  • Allergies and inflammation
  • Digestive disturbances and insufficient nutrient uptake
  • Obesity - fat metabolism is altered
  • Worsening symptoms of any existing medical conditions
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Estrogen dominance diseases
  • Ovulation irregularities and menstrual cycle disorders
  • Poor egg quality
  • Low sperm count
  • Reduced sperm motility and other abnormalities
  • Cell DNA damage
  • Infertility (both sexes)
  • Miscarriage (issues from the mother or father) research indicates that defective sperm can also be a causative factor
  • Pregnancy complications
  • Fetal development can be disturbed by toxins
  • Babies being born with chemicals already in their body

It's quite obvious why taking a detoxification supplement is recommended!

FertileDetox - cleansing for the body

FertileDetox is an all natural detoxification supplement! Prepared with special ingredients to aid the body with the elimination of toxins, particularly through the liver and intestines. It makes sense to look after yourself before actively trying to conceive, to ensure optimal fertility and protect the health of your future baby! Capsules contain a combination of herbs, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, probiotics, and fiber. We'll look at some of the contents...

Milk thistle – used for around 2,000 years as a remedy for a variety of liver disorders, and still one of the most used medicinal plants in the world. Hundreds of modern research studies confirm that this herb has liver protection and regeneration properties. Active ingredient silymarin (actually a group of flavonoids) is thought to help repair liver cells that have been damaged from toxins. The liver has many crucial roles in the body including filtering toxins from our blood e.g. metabolic waste, pathogens, chemicals, and drugs. This vital organ also assists with the break down and removal of excess hormones.

Dandelion root – an old favorite that's been around for centuries. This herb is a popular liver/kidney tonic, blood purifier, and digestive aid. Stimulates the liver to synthesize and secrete bile (digestive liquid) that's stored in the gallbladder. Bile emulsifies fats and serves as a carrier of toxins through into the intestines. Fiber absorbs the bile and toxins within the intestines so that they can be excreted.

Grape seed and Green tea extracts – excellent antioxidant activity which is especially important when going through any detox. The livers detoxification processes involves various biochemical reactions to take place, which in turn produces free radicals (by-product of those reactions). Antioxidants bind to free radicals (the bad molecules) and counteract their effects before they have the chance to do any harm to our cells.

Calcium d-glucarate – well known as a cellular detoxifier. This is the calcium salt of D-glucaric acid which is made in the body in small amounts, but also found in numerous fruits and vegetables. Works by inhibiting and minimizing the effects of an enzyme called beta-glucuronidase which hinders toxin removal from the body. Believed to help lower abnormally high amounts of steroid hormones.

N-acetyl-cysteine, L-glycine, and L-glutamine – these amino acids are needed for the synthesis of an antioxidant called glutathione which is found in every cell in our body. Glutathione binds to fat soluble toxins (including heavy metals) forming a water soluble complex so that they can be eliminated through the urine or bile. As we detox this antioxidant gets easily depleted so we need more of it.

Probiotics – in our gut we have both good and bad bacteria. Sometimes the bad bacteria take over due to numerous reasons e.g. anxiety, alcohol, junk food, and/or certain medications. When this happens we end up with all sorts of digestive disturbances and internal toxicity. Replenishing the good bacteria with live microorganisms will encourage a healthier digestive system and a stronger immune system.

Citrus pectin – fiber derived from citrus fruits. Helps with the excretion of toxic metals from the body. Protects the good bacteria in the colon, and boosts immunity.

Vitamins B6, B12, and folic acid (lipotropic agents) - these nutrients act to decrease and remove fat deposits in the liver to improve its overall function.

Remember that any detoxification supplement is more efficient along with other positive lifestyle changes!

*Please note – If you suspect you're at heightened risk of toxic exposure e.g.chemicals, heavy metals, or other pollutants, we advise for you to make an appointment to see your doctor for advice.

FertileDetox is intended to use for three months before conception is attempted. Formulated to be taken along with FertilAid for women and FertilAid for men (ultimate nutritional support).
